I stayed here when visiting my son at SJSU. It was a short 15 minute walk to his dorm. The room was a good size and even had a bath tub! Very friendly service during checkin and during checkout. There is a nice local coffee shop a block away. Over it was quite convenient and I will be back again.

Decor is aging and sadly doesn't lean into the beautiful historical details as much as it could. With the right designer touch the location could have a fantastic boutique hotel feel. Slight issue with room service where they accidentally threw out a pack of my aeropress filters but it was quickly rectified by the manager, they ordered me a pack for next day delivery and I skipped room service for the remainder of my stay. Hotel rooms are quite nosey with the team horns going off constantly and nearby construction

Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Five stars if it's just rating the staff. Very clean room and bathrooms, but I had a terrible allergic reaction to whatever they used on the sheets. If you have sensitive skin bring your own sheet or pillowcase. That's never happened to me at other hotels. The smell was so strong and I woke up with red blotches all over my skin. The bar was great in the evening. Location was walking distance to the convention center and a lot of great restaurants.

The place is beautiful but it has some drawbacks. The place is close in downtown and is conveniently located. Neatly decorated, immaculately clean. The rooms are decent sized but the beds are big and comfy. The bed is something that will give you a good night sleep but the team next door will keep you up. Bring some white noise to get some decent sleep. Another drawback is the parking. It is pretty steep for overnight parking. But I did enjoy the stay.

The Four Points by Sheraton was conveniently located near "Christmas in the Park" The rest of our party had booked at the Hilton that was a block or so away. Upon check in I was greeted & thanked for being a rewards member. There is a $42/night self parking fee; which I had seen online. We were able to park in their small front lot that has 4 parking spaces (one reserved for checking in). They have a larger private lot at the driveway prior to the front of the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near many eateries as well as things to do; but be aware you are on a one way road when entering this hotel parking area and you will need to do a loop should you need to get to their overnight lot. Our room was on the 4th floor; it was clean well kept & quite. Despite being in the city surrounded by commotion, it was quite and peaceful in our room. We heard one neighbors door slam and the bells of the trolley cars going by down stairs. The bed was not the most comfortable thing; but not bad at all. I would stay at this location again if in the area.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. I had a really positive experience when I lost something carrying in my things. I went to the parking lot and Shirad was extremely helpful and empathetic. Even going to get a tool to help me find it. When it wasn't in the parking lot I let the front desk know and Cash and Moses went out of their way to help. Extremely professional and it was a very positive experience. I ended up finding what I lost and will always be grateful to the staff their for their extra effort in trying to help a guest.

What a fabulous find in downtown San Jose. It was very easy to get to from Sacramento. The hotel is a gorgeous historic hotel yet it has been completely refurbished. It’s beautiful. The king room is very large with a great bathroom. Bathroom lighting is ok but not great for putting on makeup. I bring my own lighted makeup mirror but it would be a nice addition if they added a 5xwall mirror. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Hotel is located within walking distance of many great restaurants as well as the San Jose Center for performing arts. My tip for parking is to PARK FIRST in the corner lot ($42 overnight) directly behind registration @S First St & W San Carlos St because if you choose to park near the lobby entrance that area has only 15 min spots and then to get back to parking lot it’s a one way street to loop around to get back. Gentleman who checked me in was extremely nice and bonus is the room rate is very reasonable for being right down near everything.
